Triple Layer Cookie

It's a three-layer cookie that was a family recipe. The recipe was probably from the 1950s, and we believe that it came from The Ladies' Home Journal. The recipe included a chocolate filling as the middle layer, and it also included corn flakes and oatmeal. Any help that you could give would be appreciated!!!
