Sweet Cinnamon Pickles

Someone once made homemade pickles with those little red hot cinnamon candies, and I think cinnamon sticks. They said it took several days to make, but when done, they were red as the red hot cinnamon candies and very, very sweet. Does anyone have a pickle recipe like this?
