I Loved The Date Nut Candy Too
by: Jane

Andrew,

I loved the See's Date Nut candy too, and I remember not long ago -- was it 2006? -- that while I was ordering my usual modest two Date Nut Candies, the girl behind the counter told me they would soon no longer be sold. All I can assume is that they did not sell enough of them to continue making this delicious candy. This event dashed my dream of buying an entire 1 pound box and being in Date Nut heaven.

Good for you for requesting the recipe. Since the company no longer wants to make them, I don't understand why they are not willing to part with the recipe. Perhaps we should start a write-in campaign!

Best wishes,

Jane
