Flummery Recipe

As a child, I recall that my mother used to make a dessert she called flummery. It consisted of jelly and carnation evaporated milk. I would love to make it for my grandchildren, but I can't get the quantities right. Does anyone have the recipe for "flummery"?

Old Fashioned Dutch Flummery Recipe

I have a recipe for Dutch Flummery in the International Category on my site. It is found on the Dutch Dessert Recipes page, but it doesn't call for milk.

Perhaps someone has the flummery recipe you remember that lists milk as an ingredient and will contribute it.

Flummery is also called Jelly whip. There are lots of other versions that call for fruit, gelatine, eggs and cream, but this one is simple.

Flummery Is In Australia Too

Flummery is an international desert that was probably on the back of the product cans. Our family has been eating it since the 1950s. Our family adds 1/3 cup of lemon juice to the recipe.
