Great dessert recipes are prized by families. Such recipes have often been lovingly passed down from mothers to their daughters and sons for generations. They are cherished recipes for making the family's favorite dessert dishes that continually delight and have never failed to deliver.

It's a fact that recipes for some of the world's best desserts cannot be found in published cookbooks. They are most often found in old recipe boxes handwritten on well-thumbed recipe cards. These are the kind of recipes that you will find celebrated on these family recipe pages.

Suggestions

Double-check the ingredient list and method of preparation to make sure you have left nothing out. Also, give the recipe's source. Example: "I found this old cookie recipe in my grandmother's old recipe box."

Add any comments or tips about the recipe that would interest readers. Example: "This is the recipe Grandma Bell once used to win the prize for best layer cake at the county fair in 1954."

Limit your recipe submission to one dessert. You are welcome to submit additional recipes, but please submit them separately, one at a time.

Only recipes for old time desserts will be accepted. Recently, I have had to delete several modern-day recipes from this page as they were not in keeping with the "old fashioned recipes" visitors expect to find on this website. Also...

I cannot accept copyrighted (©) recipes from modern publications or recipes copied from other websites. Your submission must be your own recipe, one that has been handed down in your family. Also, product promotions, addresses, and links to other websites cannot be accepted.

Please share your treasured recipe for dessert.

We would love to try it.

It's Easy: Here's How
