Great Dessert Recipes

Share Your Prized Family Dessert Recipe

Great dessert recipes are prized by families. Such recipes have often been lovingly passed down from mothers to their daughters and sons for generations. The best recipes for dessert are those used to make the family's favorite dessert dishes. Recipes that never fail to deliver.

It's a fact that recipes for some of the world's best desserts cannot be found in published cookbooks. They are most often discovered in old recipe boxes, handwritten on well-thumbed recipe cards. These are the kind of recipes that you'll find celebrated on these pages.

Do You Have Great Dessert Recipes?

If you have traditional dessert recipes that have been handed down in your family, please consider sharing them with us!

Everybody is welcome to share. Simply enter your recipes in the special form below. Or scroll down to comment on what others have shared. It's easy and fun. There's no member login or registration needed. You get to share your family's favorite recipes for dessert. Maybe dishes that have been passed down through the generations.

Along with the old family recipes, maybe you could share a fond memory, or an interesting family photo to show off the dessert or to serve as a tribute to your loved one's fondness for cooking and baking. You could even create a webpage to honor your Grandma and her baking skills.

Your own recipe webpage will be seen by thousands of dessert lovers worldwide, so be sure to tell or tweet your family and friends so they can enjoy seeing it too.

When Submitting Your Recipes

Double check your recipe ingredient list and directions to make sure you have left nothing out. Also, give its source. For example, "I found this old cookie recipe stuffed in my grandmother's old recipe box."

Add any comments or tips about the recipe that would interest readers. For example, "This is the layer cake recipe that helped Grandma Bell to win first prize at the county fair!"

It will be your own published recipe webpage, so you'll need to write a minimum of 300 words for your submission to get accepted and properly indexed by the search engines. You are welcome to submit more than one recipe to make up the 300 words, but they must all be of the same recipe type. For example, all apple dessert recipes or all cake recipes.

Only recipes for old time desserts will be accepted. Modern-day recipes are not in keeping with the "old fashioned recipes" visitors expect to find on this website. Note: If your submission is not published, it likely failed to meet the above requirements.

Please share your treasured recipes.

We would love to try them.

Your recipe must be your own, though, or one that is old and now in the public domain. We cannot accept copyrighted (©) recipes from publications or recipes copied from other websites. Follow the Submission Guidelines.

Submit Your Recipe

1. Enter the recipe name. This will help people to find your page in the search engines when they search for the recipe.

2. Share your family's favorite dessert recipe, and your memories associated with it (minimum 300 words). It's your page to share what you want, but please read the Submission Guidelines.

Click the question marks (?) on the form for additional help.
