Chocolate Macaroon Kisses

by Sonnie
(Oregon, USA)

I am looking for a German recipe for this unique cookie: It is a chocolate cookie, similar consistency when baked as a brownie. The cookie on the outside has the appearance of a large Hersey's KissŪ, but made out of brownie batter. Inside is a wonderfully moist coconut mixture in basically the shape of a ball.

The cookie is not hard, tough, or dry, but is nicely delicate and moist, with a light crust outside, like the top of a brownie.

The lady who makes them refuses to give out the recipe, but she makes all kinds of German foods from scratch.

Does anyone know what this cookie is called and know the recipe? I would be eternally grateful if someone could find it for me.

I've only seen the cookie in Florida at a little shop and since I live in Oregon, it's very hard to get some when I have cravings. My 89 year old Aunt just loves these cookies, so I'd like to be able to make her some for the holidays. I don't have a picture, sorry.

Thank you for your help!!!

I am also looking for this recipe. I had these cookies at a restaurant called Siros in Lafayette, LA., but it is no longer in business. Thanking you in advance. PN
