Cherry Junk

by Pattie
(Centerton, AR)

Cherry Junk is a lot like cherries jubilee. It was made with a graham cracker crust, and the cream filling was made with the powder form of Dream Whip® dessert topping and covered with a cherry pie filling.

I had the recipe for over twenty years and lost it. Does anyone have the recipe for Cherry Junk? I would really love to have it again.

Cherry Jubilee Or Cherry Junk Recipe
by: Maxine

I too am trying to remember this same thing. I know my dessert recipe had a graham cracker crust, and for the filling I used 2 packages cream cheese, 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and the other ingredient may have been the powdered form of Dream Whip®. After beating until smooth, pour into the crust, then top with the cherry pie filling and chill.

Any other kind of pie filling may be used also. Sometimes I use strawberry. Hope this helps us both to have a successful dessert.
