Easy Dessert Recipes Ezine -- 020 March 26, 2007 |
Edited Archival VersionWelcomeHi Everybody!Well, we are nearing the end of March with Easter fast approaching. I don't know where the time has gone. It has simply flown by. As I write this, it is raining outside, the snow has melted except for small amounts along the fence lines and in the shady areas under trees, and the lawn is showing distinct tinges of green. Spring is finally arriving! Vicki's brother Brian lives in the small village of Igloolik, Nunavut, which is located high up in the Canadian Arctic. He told us that two weeks ago the temperature had been minus 72° C (-97.6 F) with the wind chill. Can you imagine it? Contemplating that should make you feel much warmer. This month's ezine features an old-time cookie recipe. Rock cakes or rock cookies were quite popular in Grandma's day. These chewy little cookies were easily made and enjoyed by all. Have fun making them. Till next month, keep looking forward to Springtime and enjoy the old-fashioned recipes.
