Welcome

Hi Everybody!

Well, spring has finally arrived here in the Kawarthas. The snow is gone, the crocuses are blooming, and the grass is starting to turn green. I can't complain about this past winter, though, it's on record as being the mildest winter ever. I only had to blow the snow out of our driveway twice. The weather experts claim we can expect similar winters in the future, and that's fine with me.

Enjoy reading this month's ezine, and thanks for visiting my website.

Warm regards and Happy Easter,

Don

Old Fashioned Recipe

Popcorn Pudding Recipe

This old-fashioned recipe is taken from the book "Dr. Chase's Third, Last and Complete Receipt Book, Memorial Edition" by Dr. Alvin Wood Chase, M.D., published by F. B. Dickerson Company, Detroit and Windsor, in 1891.

You will enjoy trying this somewhat unusual old-fashioned dessert made from popcorn. It is a very easy pudding recipe to make yet it tastes really good. It comes straight from the old pioneer kitchen, and is packed full of good taste.

Sweet milk and popcorn, each 3 pints (each kernel must be popped white, and not a bit scorched); eggs, 2; salt, 1/2 teaspoonful. Bake 1/2 hour. Serve with sweetened cream or milk.
